Holidays on the Costa Blanca – Find a good restaurant
At the moment you are enjoying your well-deserved holidays on the Costa Blanca, after a couple of days in your villa or holiday apartment, you may wander, where to find a good restaurant on the Costa Blanca?
The first part of the night you will have to look for a good restaurant, if you are in Altea, or if you want to visit this beautiful place, you will find some very good restaurants.
If you don’t want to spend a lot of money, there is a very nice restaurant on the first line of the beach in Altea called “Tutti Frutti”, you can buy a pizza, but I recommend a very good salad. Served in an edible bowl, the menus are well priced and very enjoyable. From the terrace you can contemplate the Mediterranean, which will provide you with a nice cool breeze.
Near the church of Altea, going down from the church square in the direction of the Sierra Bernia, you will find a busy street with some very nice restaurants. In “Estromboli” you can eat very good Italian food and they have very good crushed tomato sauce, from the grandfather’s garden.
Across the street is the very nice restaurant “Ousteau”, which is brightly decorated and has a fantastic atmosphere. The friendly staff will guide you to your table, which in warm and pleasant weather can be on a cozy outside terrace, but will always be well located. The food is very good, you can choose between a “Hollywood” card, which makes you hesitate between an “Al Pachino” steak or a “Marlin Monroe” salad …
If you want to spend a little more, enjoying the good gastronomic life, I recommend the restaurant “el Nuevo Alcazar” in La Nucia. A really good restaurant run by food crazy people.
You will also find a very high standard in the restaurant “La Fusion” and “Los Dos Lunas” in Albir, 2 more to put on your list to try.
If you like to drink something typical Spanish, Benidorm is the place to be .. In the old town of Benidorm there is a special street with many typical “tapas” bars, here you will find Spaniards enjoying all kinds of small sandwiches and good wines. .
Of course, you will find both McDonald’s and Burger King in Benidorm, but going there is not recommended unless you really can’t stop.
Spanish food is really good to try, like a good paella you can try at the “Chiringuito” on the beach of Albir, where the Spanish are all at large tables eating the paella. For those who absolutely despise seafood, there is a special “a banda” type paella and one with only vegetables. There is also a very large grill where they prepare giant steaks.
Anyway, it is the golden rule to see if a restaurant is good, see if there are enough Spaniards sitting there !!!
