Travel Guide – Los Angeles
Los Angeles is located in southern California on the west coast of the United States. Los Angeles is one of the most significant places to visit, in every corner you can experience a different culture.
In this guide, I’ve included the 17 things you don’t want to miss that will take your experience to the next level.
1.City center
Down Town is the central business district of Los Angeles and home to some of the most prominent examples of American civic architecture.
2. Olvera Street
It is the oldest part of downtown Los Angeles and also known as Mexico City.
3.Union Station
One of the largest train stations in the world and the largest rail passenger terminal in the western United States. What makes this station famous is that it has been featured in around 30 movies.
4. Little Tokyo
Little Tokyo, or J-Town as it is known by the locals, is the ultimate destination for some of the best Japanese restaurants in the city. In addition, it is home to the historical Buddha temples, galleries and museums.
5. Walt Disney Concert Hall
This incredible piece of architecture was designed by Frank Gehry and opened in 2003. It is the fourth hall of the Los Angeles Music Center and home to the LA Phil Harmonic Orchestra.
6. Los Angeles County Museum of Art
The art museum is located on Wilshire Boulevard in the vicinity of Miracle Mile in Los Angeles. LACMA is on Museum Row, next to the La Brea Tar Pits.
LACMA’s collections span the geographic world and virtually the entire history of art with more than 100,000 objects dating back to antiquity.
7. La Brea Tar Pits
At the La Brea Tar Pits and the George Cpage Museum, you can explore mammals and insects dating back thousands of centuries. The museum has recreated a prehistoric garden.
8.Rodeo Drive
Rodeo Drive, – in the heart of Beverly Hills – The most expensive and exclusive shopping area in the world.
9.Hollywood
The most famous center in the world: “The entertainment industry.” Locate your favorite star on the Walk of Fame.
10. Griffith Park
It is one of the largest and wildest urban parks in North America. Here you can enjoy panoramic views of Los Angeles. Visit the Griffith Observatory for amazing views. (It’s steel FREE).
11. Universal Studios
It is the oldest continuously operating movie studio in the United States. It features a theme park based on its blockbuster movies and popular TV shows.
The famous attraction here is the studio tour – you might have a Deja Vu here, as many of the subjects you’ll see have been used in popular TV shows and movies. The theme park is also family friendly and one of the favorite parks for families!
12. Disneyland Park
This Disneyland Park is the only theme park designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney. And, since its opening in 1955, it has welcomed 630 million guests who have enjoyed watching Disney’s most beloved character come to life!
13. The Port of Los Angeles
It is the largest container port in the US, and here you can find the USS Iowa Museum. The USS Iowa is a World War II battleship. Enjoy the experience!
14. The Aquarium of the Pacific
In this magnificent Aquarium you can find 500 marine species. Touch tanks and behind the scenes towers are available.
15. Long Beach
It was one of the birthplaces of the California surf scene. However, today it is also ideal for families.
16. Santa Catalina Island
Take the boat to explore the magnificent Catalina Island. You will find thousands of visitors who want to escape the mainland for a while and relax.
