A Review: Apple Macbook Pro MB990LL-A 13.3-Inch Laptop

The MacBook Pro MB990LL/A model is perfect for someone who wants a full-featured laptop that’s easy to transport. It uses the one-piece aluminum design that is both beautiful and practical. Precision construction gives the unit a solid feel. Aluminum and glass don’t wear off like the plastic on many other laptops. The matte silver finish with black keys also looks classy. The keyboard automatically lights up as the room dims the light. This is not an essential feature, but it is useful for selecting the correct function keys after dark.

The LCD screen is really very good. The MacBook Pro display has a 60% larger color gamut and is better than the previous MacBook Pro model in terms of black levels, color depth, and accuracy. It’s great for watching movies or viewing and editing photos.

The standout feature of the MacBook Pro MB990LL/A is the touchpad. The multi-touch inputs used to navigate are comfortable and intuitive. It also creates a larger touchpad surface, giving your fingers more room to move, click, and gesture. And because the trackpad supports Multi-Touch gestures, you can use two fingers to scroll, pinch, rotate, swipe, three fingers to swipe, and four fingers to swipe, tap, double-tap, and drag.

The 13.3-inch Apple MacBook Pro MB990LL/A laptop computer features a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM upgradable to a maximum of 8GB, a 160GB hard drive, and a SuperDrive 8x slot loading. Other features include a 13.3-inch LED display, integrated NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics, backlit keyboard, MagSafe power adapter, integrated iSight webcam, microphone, two USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire 800 port, and a SD card slot.

The Apple MacBook MB990LL/A model is reasonable value for money, but there are certainly cheaper laptops available. You don’t have to worry about using the MAC OSX operating system that you are not familiar with. Because the MacBook Pro MB990LL/A is Intel-based, they can still be used to run Windows applications, either through Apple’s Boot Camp or virtual machine software.
