Can Am has announced a new family of motorcycles to celebrate its 50th anniversary. These vehicles will feature an all-electric model and an on-road model, with an expected launch date of mid-2024. They are said to offer unprecedented performance and zero emissions.

The Can Am brand of Can-Am off road vehicles is one of the most popular and best-selling brands of powersports vehicles. It has been recognized for its performance and innovative design. One of Can-Am’s most popular ATVs is the Maverick X ds Turbo. This vehicle has the highest horsepower in the side-by-side industry. This model also offers a turbocharged option that produces 121 horsepower. Other engine options include the X3 SSV, which boasts an increased horsepower of 135, and the Commander, which boasts an 85-hp Rotax 1000 V-Twin. Designed for longer rides, the Commander also includes a wide selection of optional features to suit every rider’s needs.

In addition to offering a full line of off-road vehicles, Can-Am has expanded its recreational side-by-side vehicle line. For 2023, three all-new Renegade models are added to the lineup. All of these youth ATVs come with features like push-button electric starting and parental speed control.

Can-Am also recently introduced a new color matched door design, which gives riders better visibility while ensuring maximum protection. Other updates include new wheel and handlebar options, as well as a slim profile driver backrest.

For the full-size lineup, Can-Am has introduced a bold new look. Along with enhanced styling, the all-new models offer improved rider comfort and improved performance. The full-size lineup also adds three new Renegade fuel-injected youth models to the lineup. For the utility vehicle market, Can-Am offers the Defender MAX Lone Star CAB. This vehicle features an enclosed cab, HVAC, and JL Audio Roof. The vehicle has the industry’s largest cargo box. Additionally, the cab offers industry-leading towing capacity.

Can-Am has always pursued a more powerful and a more capable product. When it came to high-performance dirt bikes, the brand swept the American Motorcycle Association’s 250cc Motocross National Championship in 1974. However, after its award-winning track history was forgotten in the ’80s, the company went off the deep end, producing specialty vehicles and unrideable production bikes. By the late ’80s, the company was off-limits to pro racers, and many of the pro riders refused to ride the company’s production bikes.
