Better animal visualization

There is no shortage of animals to see on Safari in the Masai Mara. In June, large numbers of wildebeest, oblivious to the political border between Tanzania and Kenya, wander from the Serengeti, a game reserve in Tanzania through Masa Marai, a game reserve in Kenya in search of grass to eat in their great migration to the north. Wildebeest are nomadic, constantly roaming in search of the sweetest grass fed by the recent rains. They can be seen in various locations while traveling through Masa Marai until October. In November, they are on their way south again, back to the Serengeti, where the cycle begins again.

Not only wildebeest, but also gazelles and zebras are drawn to the sweet summer grass in the Masai Mara. Thompson’s Gazelle and Grant’s Gazelle can be seen here, along with Topi and many others. Hippos dip and sink in the Mara River and rhinos, ostriches and giraffes are here to play their part in the great circle of life. The proliferation of game in the reserve attracts other animals, birds and insects that come in search of prey. Vultures, crocodiles, lions, leopards and cheetahs can all benefit from large migrations to the Game Reserves in Kenya.
