I love my girlfriend but she’s ruining me

Before my recent girlfriend I had been single for a while. All other areas of my life were going very well, my personal business was starting to take off and I was happy with my direction and income level. However, even though everything else was so good, I felt like I was still missing something; namely, the love and company of a beautiful woman.

Now I have a girlfriend, someone I can talk to, share my life with, and cuddle up with on a cold night. And even though I found this woman who I truly believe could be my soul mate, other areas of my life seem to suffer for it. Spending more time on my relationship has meant I don’t have as much time to work on my personal business, and in a field that requires constant attention, this hasn’t been good for business growth. My monthly expenses have also been higher, now I’m buying food for two since she comes to my house most of the time, and going out for a bite to eat and a movie really add up. It’s not like she’s paying for both of us, in fact she pays for me part of the time. Only where I used to stay inside and work on my computer, now I go out and pay for my time off.

I guess when you’re in a relationship it’s all about management. Like I said, I feel like this girl is my soul mate and I’m so glad she came into my life. But I had to reevaluate how much time and money I spent when I was with her, and doing so means my life is now more balanced. I have the love of a beautiful woman, and my business is getting back on track thanks to my putting in more time and effort.
