Obviously, there are two places where you can have the photo session: indoors or outdoors. Whichever you choose, you need to take into account lighting, weather, and your pet’s mood. Consider your pet’s preferences when choosing settings. You need your pet to be in a good mood.

The perfect day

Pythagoras says, “Animals share with us the privilege of having a soul,” and you’ll want your snapshots to reflect this soul. It is about the straightness and brightness of the light. Pick a day that’s not too bright and not too dark, you want the lighting to be just right so your photos look natural and not scream ‘it took me ages to click this!’

It’s all about time

Your pet will not sit still and you should use this to your advantage. Cajole him, bribe him, and use a calm tone to get him into the right position you want. A happy pet equals happy images.

If you have a co-op pet that loves photo shoots, this will be an easy walk for you. However, not all cats and dogs like the camera flash; it scares them, it makes them nervous. That is why you need a day that is not too cloudy and not too bright. Also, flash tends to give a washed out effect, so you’ll want to turn it off.

The subject and the number.

You don’t need to have a particular pose in mind; you can encourage your pet to move while you click. Take plenty of photos, because your pet won’t always heed your request and look at the camera for you. The more the merrier, you can always discard the ones that don’t seem good to you.

the wow factor

Use toys, whistles, gestures, and treats to get their attention, if outdoor photography has led them to chase a butterfly or mantis. This could cause them to bounce back at you, leaving you with a lovely shot. Distractions work best to give you the perfect shot and see your pet in a different light, literally.

The angle

The angle matters when you take your photos. Taking it from a high angle is very common; Why not crouch down to their level and try to click? You will have some beautiful photos of your four-legged darling. Lean over, lean over, move slowly and get your pet’s attention. You will have a fun session just like your cat or dog.
