Rift Warrior Build for fast leveling

The Rift game is a very popular new massively multiplayer online role-playing game from Trion. There are already more than 1 million subscribers playing Rift worldwide and the game was released in March 2011. Since it is such a new game, there are not many guides to help players level up to 50, but with Due to the immense popularity of the game there is a lot of information available on the best ways to play certain classes or builds.

In Rift, a player must choose between 4 classes or builds to use with their character: warrior, mage, cleric, and rogue. Here we are going to examine the best way to play Rift with a warrior build. To begin with, we have eight Souls from which to build our talent tree and fight the enemies of Telara. We can choose 3 souls: a main soul and 2 other support souls. Let’s take a closer look at the eight souls we have to choose from:

  • Champion: The champion is a two-handed fighter with a weapon in each hand for maximum damage. Champion has a lot of strength and moves very fast
  • Paladin – Carries a heavy shield, making it more of a defensive soul or barricade against enemies. However, magic could be Paladin’s downfall.
  • Paragon – Also a two-handed, two-weapon soul, but with a long-range ability to attack from a distance. This Soul should prevent enemies from sudden bursts.
  • Looter: He also carries a shield in one hand and a weapon in the other and has self-healing ability. Reaver may not be great for solo play, but he’s great in a group.
  • Riftblade – Has the incredible power of the elements. Like Paragon, Riftblade has range to deal damage from a distance. Riftblade is weak on defense and needs to avoid hits.
  • Void Knight: Good at absorbing an enemy’s spells, but not really strong for one attack or high damage.
  • Warlord: Warlord is more of a soul buff, not good at tanking in Rift. He can definitely make allies stronger.
  • Beastmaster – A soul that can summon a pet or companion to deal more damage to enemies. Beastmaster also has the healing ability to help himself and his allies.

So for our main soul, we will choose Paragon due to its ranged attack ability. The Paragon excels at melee damage due to the two weapons it carries and the ability to take out enemies from a distance. This Soul will serve us very well as a main and has great damage potential to level up fast in the Rift game. For support souls we will go with Champion and Riftblade. We will get a passive buff with Riftblade due to the Air Blade ability. This will greatly increase our damage capabilities.

With Champion we will also get Raging Bull, which will make going from one monster to another very easy. There’s also Slayer’s Bearing, which is a passive buff to increase damage by 5%. It will also only require 4 points in the Champion Soul Tree. Paragon’s damage output will be greatly improved by these two passive buffs. This build comes without huge costs and we will climb the Paragon Tree and use the leftover points in the Riftblade Soul Tree. Two passive abilities that we will consider to increase our damage capabilities are Elemental Touch and Elemental Blade. This build should give us the right balance of damage combined with the passive buffs and the raging bull. It should allow you to level up quickly in the Rift game.
