Tanzania Tourism – Explore Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Selous Safari Parks in Tanzania

Tanzania has more African crown jewels than any other destination: Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Selous and many more. Tanzania is East Africa’s premier safari destination. Safaris, which in the Swahili language means journey, allow you to discover an amazing variety of landscapes and the rich flora and fauna of Tanzania.

Today, the Serengeti National Park, the Maasai Mara Game Reserve and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area are home to the most magnificent and diverse terrestrial wildlife reserve in the world. The Serengeti is a geographical area in northwestern Tanzania that reaches into southwestern Kenya. It is one of the more seasonal parks, with its massive biannual migration of herbivores. Serengeti originates from the Maasai language, which means “Endless Plains”. Many visit Serengeti, most go to central areas. However, this is a park of considerable size and capable of presenting high-quality wilderness experiences to the most demanding tourist.

The Ngorongoro Highlands are an extraordinary array of volcanic mountains that sit on the slopes of the Rift Valley to the south and east of the Serengeti. It is almost certainly one of the most impressive safaris in East Africa. The Ngorongoro Crater is the reason many travelers visit Africa’s most remarkable safaris and natural wonders. The Ngorongoro crater is perhaps the most striking geological point in Africa. The crater is also an amazing place to drive, but it’s not a good place to stay for long.

The Selous is huge, distant and untamed. It is the largest wildlife reserve in Africa and an exciting mark compared to other parks in Tanzania in almost every respect. It is one of the not so well known safari parks in Tanzania; however, it provides an impressive quantity and quality of experience that not many other destinations can provide. It is also the habitat of a wide variety of wildlife and a variety of experiences to offer. The Selous is situated on the humid coastal flat terrain; and the remarkable Rufiji River twists and turns through the center of this terrain. This is a valuable hunting region, with splendid birds down the river, many lions, elephants and wild dogs.
