Transformers – Revenge of the Fallen – The Game Preview

As you may have guessed, the video game, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, is based on the 2009 hit movie of the same name, but don’t dismiss this game just because it’s a game based on a movie. This game features greatly improved graphics from transformers: the gamewhich was released in 2007. The creators have also made it possible to seamlessly switch between vehicle mode, robot mode, and weapon mode, which makes the game very intense and fun.

The story picks up roughly two years after Megatrons’ defeat in the last movie. Despite their leader being conquered, the Deceptions continued to fight the Autobots and humanity. They have even started to gain ground in some parts of the world. Then a new entity arrives that could deflect the favor to the Deceptions.

The campaign consists of 25 missions distributed throughout the city. Players can choose which missions they want to complete in a non-linear way, or just wander around the city enjoying the well-developed graphics. Apart from the campaign, the game has an extensive multiplayer mode, where the cunning Decepticons once again face off against the heroic Autobots. Players can go online and compete against others from around the world.

Another great aspect of this game is that it is available for a relatively large number of consoles. The game will be released for Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Nintendo DS, PSP and PC.

All in all, this game looks like a real joy to play, and I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy.
