Catalina Huanca’s treasure
Written by Dennis L. Siluk
There, next to the fair of the high mountains
Hidden underground by Huancayo
In San Jerónimo de Tunan–
It’s Catalina’s golden treasure!
Whereupon, the Spaniards killed
Atahualpa, the Inca King–;
Therefore, Catherine turned around to search
And he found – his new sacred land! …
And, it swept up a saturated stream …
This little adobe church
Called San Sebastián – ever since
In the high mountains of Huancayo! …
