Review: Ministry Of Sound – Music Discovery App

Ministry of Sound recently introduced one of the most innovative dance music tools (as part of their existing app) yet. With a tool that makes personalized recommendations on which songs, artists, charts, etc., would suit the user’s taste, this is definitely a one-of-a-kind service. Just select a DJ from a very comprehensive list and start discovering his music, charts and music. Once you start, it’s almost impossible to stop, as each post links to dozens of others, all of which remain relevant to your tastes!

The app is very easy to use and easy to understand and it has a very modern and elegant template. The graphics seem simple at first, but the more you navigate through the app, the more you realize the complexity and detail put into its design, layout, and template. The black background with just a few seemingly unimportant abstract shapes makes the menus look like they are floating over the abyss when you scroll or move them.

However, the music discovery tool and the design are not the only elements that make this innovative app so attractive. As the user opens the app, they are presented with an array of menus, taking them to every service one could dream of (and more!) to the point where this app bundles the equivalent of at least one dozen widely recognized and informative websites.

  • Using the MusicDiscovery tool, as well as Music tab, you can not only find all the tracks, albums or charts you would like, but you can also listen to them, share them and then purchase them through portals such as Beatport or iTunes using the link provided by the application.
  • Next on the list is the Club menu, which comes right after the MusicDiscovery tool. With this tool, you can buy tickets to upcoming Ministry of Sound tours or to some of the biggest clubs in the world right from the app. It even provides you with all the specifications you would need for all of these events. The best part is that the app sends your virtual tickets directly to your mobile phone, so you don’t have to worry about printing them, or even using a computer to buy them!
  • Have you ever heard the Ministry of Sound? without scales radio station? Well now you can without the hassle of finding portals that will play it whenever you want to listen to it: you can listen to it right from this very app! But Radio The menu comes with much more than that: it always tells you what track is playing, along with all its information and a link to various portals so you can buy it. It also comes with a schedule to tell you about the variety of radio shows that will be played on the station. The best part about this service is that wherever you are in the app, there is always a little “radio” icon with a play button in the top right corner so you can control whether or not it’s playing. To add a very stylish touch of originality, the developers even added a current track equalizer, which appears in place of the icon when the radio is playing. To top it off, the radio keeps playing even if you exit the app, so you can browse your Apple device without having to stop listening!
  • And last but not least, the latest menu of this excellent app brings you the latest news from the world of EDM. Being updated several times a day, it’s a great source for DJ news, which also comes with a great gallery of images of these same DJs.
