Make sure the rack comes with the extra part that also keeps the loose wheel locked. If you don’t, your front wheel may roll all over the place.

Some truck bike racks are made to be a more permanent feature of the vehicle. While this is really a safe option, you may not want to drill holes in the truck bed. Most models are quite portable and can fit a variety of trucks.
